Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you and your family well. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to inform you of an important update to our school safety procedures.

Beginning the 2025-2026 school year, all students will be required to use clear backpacks when attending school. This decision was made after careful consideration by the administration and School Improvement Team members. The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priority, and this will allow us to provide a more secure campus.

Clear backpacks will allow for quicker and safer entry into the building, help our staff monitor the approved contents of bags more efficiently, and serve as a proactive measure to maintain a secure learning environment.

Key Points:

• All backpacks must be clear (transparent on all sides) and allow visibility of contents.

• Small pouches for personal items (e.g., hygiene items or money) are permitted but must be mesh.

• Students may still bring lunchboxes, which do not have to be clear.
